夜幕低垂時，徐自強與鄭性澤，跟著廢死聯盟成員一行人，搭上飛往杜拜的班機，在此轉機後，目的地是比利時。這是阿強與阿澤第一次踏上歐洲土地，他們準備來參加三年一度的世界反死刑大會。

2016年全球死刑判决与执行概况

2017年4月11日，国际特赦组织公开了2016年全球死刑判决与执行状况报告。不含中国情况下，2016年其他国家共处死1,032名死刑犯，而中国政府一整年的执行数字，则远大于其他国家的总和。另一方面，美国2016年使用死刑的案件量创下了史上新低。
