Building and Sharing Best Practices
The World Coalition, composed of members from both abolitionist and retentionist countries and representing all components of civil society, is uniquely positioned to strengthen the effectiveness of the abolitionist movement through the sharing of skills and knowledge.
We are committed to enhancing the effectiveness of our member organizations by identifying, sharing, and promoting good practices, tools, and strategies—ensuring that the expertise developed by one member is accessible to others. By facilitating this cross-learning and mutual support, we aim to reinforce collective impact and advance the universal abolition of the death penalty.
How we build and share best practices
Based on our membership’s collective experience and knowledge in fighting the death penalty, the World Coalition has developed a series of tools:
- E-Learning platform: Free and fully accessible on computers, smart phones and tablets, the World Coalition provides online training and advocacy strategies on our E-Learning platform.
- Guides on “How to abolish the death penalty”, including how to work with the ACHPR, NHRIs, Parliamentarians, as well as including a gender perspective in your advocacy and learning preventative strategies to avoid a return to the death penalty.
